Happy Children. Happy Parents. One Class at a Time
Parenting Training for Head Start Families
Our in-house Parenting classes will be especially helpful to any parent of a child in the 0-5 age group. This is a time full of big emotions, rapid development, and important transitions. Our program, based on the Touchpoint Parenting Program (TM), is built around understanding predictable stages in child development—so when your child’s behavior suddenly changes, you’ll know why it’s happening and how to respond with confidence.
Here’s why it’s worth your time:
- Helps you understand challenging behaviors like tantrums, sleep changes, clinginess, or regressions as normal developmental “touchpoints,” not something you’re doing wrong.
- Builds your confidence as a parent by giving you practical strategies to support your child while strengthening your relationship.
- Supports emotional and social development, which is especially important at age 3 as children learn independence, communication, and self-control.
- Encourages positive guidance instead of punishment, helping you set limits while staying connected and nurturing.
- Prepares you for upcoming transitions, such as preschool, new routines, or family changes.
The parenting classes are also a chance to connect with other parents who are going through the same stage, reminding you that you’re not alone—and that your child’s ups and downs are a normal part of growing!
Location, day, and time will be determined based on the interest in different classes.
Most classes are multi-week trainings and not a one-time workshop!
